Ava Meets Santa!!!

Well taking Ava turned into quite an event. Angie had heard that the Bass Pro Shop had quite a Santa setup, so instead for hitting up the Legends (which is 5 min away), we opted for the Olathe version. When we arrived at 12:30pm, not only were we greeted by more hunters and fishermen than we're used to, but we also joined over 500 other families seeking Santa. They were slotting the 2:30pm slot, so we decided we could grab lunch in the store, and then prep (potty/feed) Ava. Everything went on schedule except for the fact that when we showed up for our 2:30 time slot, the line was over 100 people and an hour long. At this point, we decided Santa meeting was meant for another day...and we headed away disappointed. Poor Ava had her holiday tutu outfit on ready for her big meeting, but it would all be for not. While on south side of town, we thought it would be good to exchange a shirt at Von Maur...and that is where the Christmas Miracle of 2011 happened! Santa was there all alone, with not one person in line. Ava was asleep, so first we woke her up. Her tutu was in car, so I ran as fast as I could to get it. Finally, Ava met Santa, and it was perfect, I hope you enjoy the pic. We got home at 4:30pm, picture in hand.
